At the end of 2021, DW mentioned that he was close to making his running goal of 1,000 miles. I never gave the idea of making a running goal for the whole year. For the last couple of years I have participated in the Taji 100 challenge of 100 miles in the month of February. As far as goal making, that was it. With my paradigm all shifted, I decided to make a running goal for 2022.
I don’t know how other people make goals. I started by opening my Strava app to see what I had actually done in 2021.

It also showed what I had done in 2020
- active days – 100
- miles – 355
This gave me an idea of my improvement in 2021 over 2020. So I set my goals to be about the same amount of improvement over last year. Goals for 2022
- active days – 200
- miles – 700
I don’t know how hard or easy this will be. I hope it will be easy to do because I am being mindful of meeting a goal.
