Knitting for New Little One

As so many of my projects approach completion, I had started casting about for new ones. I didn’t want to run the risk of only having one project going at a time! 😉

With a new little one on the way, I wanted to make something in that direction. The thing is, with so many opinions on appropriate colors for babies, it is difficult decision. Well… it was until I saw this post:

Wanda B. Victorian – “He grew to fast“

The yarn that she had used to make the darling cabled sweater was just perfect. I know it’s perfect because shortly after deciding on the yarn, I received an email from Knit Picks for this Brava Speckled yarn

The name of the color is “Happy Birthday”. How perfect is that!

With perfect yarn, I went hunting for a pattern to accommodate it’s worsted weight. I easily found it.

The “Cushy Cocoon Layette” pattern by Kate Oates.

I am planning to cast on tonight. 😀
