Workbasket – Finishing Up 2021 Gifts

Previously…

As typically happens each January, I find myself finishing up gifts that didn’t quite make it to the completed projects list.

This year I worked with Ballpoint Embroidery paints from Colonial Patterns. They worked out great! Much faster than embroidery. A welcome change to my over crowded “to-do” list of projects. These are the last 3 of 7 flour sack towels in a humming bird theme. I was unable to get the whole group finished until the next morning.

After 15 months of working on this project it is FINALLY FINISHED. I learned a lot from making this twice. Probably the largest lesson was to NEVER carry my travel mug in the same bag as my knitting. No matter how “empty” it seems.

I continue to work on the beaded silk shrug every chance I can.

This stocking (now for next year), has become my “mindless” knitting. Something that I can work on during trips or when I just don’t have any bandwidth to knit charted patterns.

Going forward…
