How it all Started

Truth be told, it all started at the knee of my very talented and patient mother. She taught me sewing, baking, gardening, and a love for history. Thus launching my journey and love for sharing and teaching creative skills.

Hi! I’m Lorri

I’ve always been drawn to the beauty, skill, and intention woven into the way our ancestors lived. For me, it started with simple things—baking bread, hanging laundry on the line, sewing clothes, knitting, and tending a home with heart. Over time, I realized these weren’t just hobbies. They were connections to history, to tradition, and to the generations who came before me.

But let me be clear: this isn’t about recreating the past or slipping into a “trad wife” lifestyle. I live a modern, busy life—just like so many of you. What I’m passionate about is weaving old skills and traditions into today’s world in ways that feel joyful, sustainable, and meaningful.

This space is for curious souls who love history, who crave beauty in the everyday, and who want to explore how small acts—like making, mending, cooking, or crafting—can connect us with the past while enriching the present. My dream is to build a warm, welcoming community where we inspire each other, share skills, and celebrate the adventure of living a historically inspired life.
