The project involved using a modern tissue pattern with varying degrees of success in transferring pattern markings. French seams were used to encase raw edges. Challenges included elastic placement and missing sleeve. Hems and lace trim were hand-sewn, while ribbon weaving required meticulous attention. Despite setbacks, the result was a cozy winter nightgown.
Workroom #36
During a 2019 summer motorcycle trip, I made impulse purchases at Ocean Waves Quilts in Eureka, California. I bought a Cactus Wall hanging project and fabric panels. After neglecting them for a while, I finally finished creating dollies and accessories for my friends. I also added mermaid tails and sent them as gifts, completing Christmas 2019.
