The eighth meeting of the Nancy Page Quilt Club featured the Wild Rose block. Members learned various techniques for appliquéing flowers using prints or crayons. They had previously prepared parts of the quilt, including the urn and birds, progressing towards the next block, a trillium. Patterns were provided for future reference.

Nancy proposed incorporating a cactus design into the quilt, sparking enthusiastic reactions from members of the Quilt Club. She suggested colors for the cactus and its blossom, providing instructions for creating the block. The group had completed previous blocks and looked forward to the next week's design featuring lily of the valley.
