Sara’s Sourdough Bread
Delicious & simple bread recipe
Ingredients
2.5 to 3 cups of sourdough starter
2.5 cups bread flour
One Tablespoon salt
Directions
- Mix ingredients together
- Knead until lively
- Form into a loaf (or a round)
- line a pan with parchment paper, placing bread dough on it
- cut cross-hatches over the top
- let rise until doubled (seven hours to overnight at 65 degrees Fahrenheit; less time at higher temperatures)
- Bake at 430 degrees F. for 20-25 minutes, or until the loaf sounds hollow when knocked on with a knuckle.
- Turn out immediately onto a dry breadboard and remove the parchment paper
- Remember to feed the original starter
