If you’ve been here any length of time you know that we purchase permits and head to the forest to cut our trees each year.
The rain took a break during our tree hunting expedition. It gave us time to look at lots of trees. We’ve been doing this for 24 years now and have gotten much better at correctly judging the height of the trees before we get them home only to have to cut them nearly in half to get them to fit.

Aesthetically I prefer a natural tree over a tree lot tree. I don’t care for the over groomed and shaped tree. I like the look of vintage Christmas tree photos. Although I don’t use the plastic streamer style tinsel. Instead I use reproduction twisted tin icicles by Tin Icicles on Etsy.
