Dolly’s Romper

With Gkid#3’s birthday fast approaching, what do you think I would do? If you guessed make a pattern for a matching romper set (from scratch) for her dolly, You’d be correct. Also, I cut out fabric for several more rompers with plans for matching dolly ones from the fabric scraps. (You don’t want me to run out of projects, do you?)
Picnic Plates

These were the last 2 items from the picnic basket that needed completion. Now only the picnic-ers are left.
Mr. & Mrs. Froggy ~ The Picnic-ers

After several weeks of lying around all flat, the stuffing process has begun.

After making their little clothes, they are really the last items that need finishing from this “Sunday Picnic” panel.
Birthday Ties

Gkid #2 shares his birthday with A. Mostly his gift will be a shopping trip for school clothes (his choice). He is also a snazzy dresser and loves ties. I have made him several ties in the past. This time I am making him 3 knitted ties in his favorite color… Purple!

Well one purple, one lavender and one in both. As much as I am a fan of natural fabrics, these ties will be knit in acrylic. That way they can hold up to being thrown in the washer and dryer and still look good without tons of additional care. In my opinion when we make things for people, it is best to consider who will be using them and how they live their lives. I don’t want my items to be too precious to be used often.
