Weekend Wanderings – snow shoe edition

The writer finally fulfilled a 23-year desire by going snowshoeing with a friend and her husband. They encountered crunchy snow and reached a little cabin where they enjoyed lunch and a snowman. The experience felt like a mix of hiking and walking on awkwardly large shoes, but they found it enjoyable and want to repeat it next year.
