Lemon Dress
On May 4th, I began making summer dresses from cotton fabrics, starting with a lemon print fabric. I faced challenges cutting the sleeves and collar due to fabric direction. With 45 years of sewing experience, I learned new techniques and corrected mistakes, including attaching the collar. I encountered issues with gathering the sleeves and making ties. Despite these challenges, I managed to complete the dress, but noted that the collar and revers made the top of the dress appear stiff, which was not my intention for a comfortable cotton house dress.
