The author struggled with setting up and using a knitting machine to make a baby blanket for an approaching baby shower. After encountering various issues, including stiffness and tight stitches, they had to unravel and redo the work. They eventually completed the blanket in 4 hours over two nights and planned to add a crochet edge.

During a 2019 summer motorcycle trip, I made impulse purchases at Ocean Waves Quilts in Eureka, California. I bought a Cactus Wall hanging project and fabric panels. After neglecting them for a while, I finally finished creating dollies and accessories for my friends. I also added mermaid tails and sent them as gifts, completing Christmas 2019.
